I am a 2000-born Dutch journalist. When I started reading many years ago, my love for words was immediately cemented. The magic of disappearing into a different world, be it a made-up story or the realities of people across the globe, still delights me. With a background in English literature and political science, I love the parallels between fiction and reality. 

As you can tell, I am a sucker for any good story. If you combine that with an incessant need to write everything down, you soon find yourself in the realm of journalism. In 2022-2023, I pursued a master’s degree in journalism at Columbia University- a dream come true.

While I try my luck as a journalist in the real world, here, I like to publish a bit more of my creative writing. Anything that I think is decent enough to share will find its way to this site.

I hope that whoever is reading this can disappear in some of my words.
